This contains a couple of changes which aren't really related (removal of some specfile cruft in old guidelines) but I'm OK with that.

I tried to split it reasonable into commits to make review easier, but realistically, it's a bit arbitrary, since many of the commits touch the same spots. So I think it needs to stay as one PR, otherwise we'd just get conflicts.

We talked about this today, might not be perfect (Eg. maybe some leftover absolute paths in examples) but it's good.
