To set my avatar, I'm redirected to libravatar. My avatar doesn't change, though, and when I inspect the image, it's being pulled from gravatar.
Looking at the sources at: https://pagure.io/user/ahills it seems to be coming from libravatar: https://secure.gravatar.com/avatar/3bf1abb2af569dfdf09d133123d7b0bee1093e33fedb5e99f74d1db472bf6ba7.jpg?s=64&d=retro
That looks like it's coming from gravatar to me. When I follow "Change Avatar" in "My Settings", it takes me to libravatar.org, which is where I uploaded an avatar. The service at gravatar.com seems to require a WordPress account, and appears to be entirely separate from libravatar.
Oh boy, I need coffee :D
When I visit https://pagure.io/user/pingou the avatar source is libravatar:
https://seccdn.libravatar.org/avatar/b3ee7bb4de70b6522c2478df3b4cd6322b5ec5d62ac7ceb1128e3d4ff42f6928?s=36&d=retro
Actually, the html is src="https://seccdn.libravatar.org/avatar/3bf1abb2af569dfdf09d133123d7b0bee1093e33fedb5e99f74d1db472bf6ba7?s=64&d=retro" and then libravatar is redirecting to gravatar.
src="https://seccdn.libravatar.org/avatar/3bf1abb2af569dfdf09d133123d7b0bee1093e33fedb5e99f74d1db472bf6ba7?s=64&d=retro"
Which curl confirms:
curl -I "https://seccdn.libravatar.org/avatar/3bf1abb2af569dfdf09d133123d7b0bee1093e33fedb5e99f74d1db472bf6ba7?s=64&d=retro" HTTP/1.1 302 Found Date: Mon, 29 Aug 2016 15:24:59 GMT Server: Apache Strict-Transport-Security: max-age=15768000; includeSubdomains Cache-Control: max-age=86400 Location: https://secure.gravatar.com/avatar/3bf1abb2af569dfdf09d133123d7b0bee1093e33fedb5e99f74d1db472bf6ba7.jpg?s=64&d=retro Content-Type: text/html; charset=iso-8859-1
So I guess the real question is, why is libravatar redirecting to gravatar? I definitely signed up with the same email address as I used on pagure.io (via FAS).
Looks like your avatar is showing now and the sources are saying it comes from libravatar as expected :)
Should we close this ticket?
Yes. I'm not sure which of my actions fixed it, if any, but it's not an issue with Pagure.
