Quite a few of our tests are doing a lot, we likely should split them into small tests doing smaller checks.

Agree, but what I saw, there is a lot of tech-depth in the code base that could use some love. So the Idea was to close such issues for now, discuss larger refactoring for the 6.0 release at a later point and then create up to date issues based on agreed actions.
