Same as above, I don't think we should loose the history, unless there are no tickets in the DB

This likely needs another indentation to make pep8 happy

Based on those comments, I am a little bit wondering if we should have entirely different actions for these, so I'm not 100% sure I like that idea either, so maybe just reinitialized if there is something in the git repo but nothing in the DB
