It would be good if that info could be read for filling in the appropriate details of the .spec file.

This is not the case of the standard .rpmmacro, it is not defined in mine.
I think more of the suggestion of having a ~/.r2spec.conf which would over-write the /etc/r2spec.conf.

What's your opinion on that ?

Sounds good. Else /etc/r2spec.conf needs to be discussed on the wiki.
