#10494 Unorphan python-metaextract
Closed: Get back later by mohanboddu. Opened by bytehackr.

  • Name of the package?
    python-metaextract

  • FAS username of the new maintainer?
    bytehackr

  • Any extra information?
I want to take care of the above package, but I'm not a packager on fedora(right now).
I already updated the spec file. Kindly update the source because I still do not have packager access so I can't upload the source.

@bytehackr I am not sure what you are asking for here? If you want to take care of the package, you need to become a maintainer and the details are available at https://docs.fedoraproject.org/en-US/package-maintainers/Joining_the_Package_Maintainers/

If you want us to take care of it then we cannot do that unless its really needed. You can ask python sig if they are interested in picking up the package.

Closing the ticket ticket for now.

You can ask python sig if they are interested in picking up the package.

That's not what the Python SIG does. Packages co-maintained by the SIG still need primary maintainers.

@churchyard I thought there were some packages solely maintained by python sig, but I am wrong, thanks for the info.
