Describe the issue

The rpms/SDL2_net repository has an unused epel8 branch that has a commit that adds package.cfg for the now obsolete epel8-playground build. I would like this branch to have that commit dropped so I can fast-forward merge from Fedora branches into EPEL 8.

As soon as possible

Whenever EPEL 8 stops being a thing...

If we cannot complete your request, what is the impact?

I will have to deal with ugly workflows for a simple package for no particularly good reason.

Just reverting the commit is not an option for you?

That does not allow fast-forward merge, since the commit still exists. Either the commit is dropped or the branch is regenerated (which inevitably also have the commit dropped).

Nothing has been built from that branch, so it's eligible for being fixed.
