https://download-ib01.fedoraproject.org/pub/epel/7/x86_64/repodata/ repository is broken. repomd.xml was updated on 2022-05-03 and contains link to missing files.
When do you need this? (2022/05/04)
When is this no longer needed or useful? ((2022/05/14)
If we cannot complete your request, what is the impact?
We would need to find alternative repository and switch to it.
There is an rsync going on the system which seems to be taking a very long time to complete
Looks like the quick-mirror-script has a problem and thinks nothing has been updated in 7 for a while.
I have forced an rsync on download-ib01 for just /pub/epel/ since the fast script is trying to crawl /pub/alt and taking 8 hours to complete.
I have forced an update, please try again.
Looks good. Thanks!
I am considering this 'patched' at this moment. I do not know why fast-mirror was broken for 7, but this is similar to a report for mirrors.kernel.org where 7 was missing similar files. Someone needs to try and fix the problem in the script.
To get an idea of when this happened. From: alibaba mirror
Hello: We rsync epel mirror from rsync://download-ib01.fedoraproject.org/ and we find that epel7_x86_64 repodata was lost all primary gz,xml file on 2020-05-04 06:00-12:00 and this worries us. What's the reason for the problem and can we avoid such problems. Thanks.
I'm at a loss as to what could possibly be broken in the script. It's not changed for quite some time. We are in freeze, so we didn't change anything on our end.
I don't think we have any logs that would help...
We will close this one, if it happens again we can try and debug it and please re-open if you see this again
