Change the fedora-pungi configuration to use image builder instead of livemedia-creator to create the Fedora Workstation ISO. An example can be seen in pungi-iot.

I will provide more details once we are ready to perform the change.

    The final deadline is beta freeze 2023/08/22. However, we should really enable it as soon as IB is ready.

  • When is this no longer needed or useful? (YYYY/MM/DD)
    N/A

  • If we cannot complete your request, what is the impact?
    The change cannot be finished.

Uhh, I don't remember being asked about this in the Workstation WG?

We discussed this briefly during one of the meetings, will post a ticket in the fedora workstation issue tracker shortly. ;)

FESCo kinda changed the scope of this in their acceptance: "Image Builder-based Workstation images do not replace the current image build process, but are added as non-blocking additional deliverables to allow iterating to a state where we can consider replacing livemedia-creator with osbuild-composer"

so the request here should not be "switch pungi config to use image builder" but "add an additional config to build a non-blocking Workstation image with image builder", AIUI.

I agree, that's what the request should be. I'll restart work on the pungi PR to make it so: https://pagure.io/pungi-fedora/pull-request/1190
