#11923 Fedora-Rawhide-20240130.n.0 does not contain mass rebuild packages
Closed: Can't Fix by kevin. Opened by adamwill.

  • Describe the issue
    The F40 mass rebuild packages were supposed to be tagged in yesterday, but the Fedora-Rawhide-20240130.n.0 compose does not seem to contain them. For e.g., the compose has libedit-3.1-48.20230828cvs.fc40 , not libedit-3.1-50.20230828cvs.fc40 from the mass rebuild. According to koji list-history, the -50 build was tagged Mon Jan 29 16:37:25 2024 (UTC). The compose started at 2024-01-30 00:12:32 according to the log.

Yeah, this compose seems to have been done somehow manually or something? There's no record of it on releng-cron list and it never actually synced out even though it finished.

@jnsamyak @humaton Any ideas?

Hello,

I'm not sure what happened here, I will check on more about it today to see what went wrong!

sorry, forgot to update the ticket: we decided to just fire another compose, and that one got the packages from the mass rebuild so things are OK now. still don't know what the deal was with this 0130.n.0 compose, though. nobody will admit to running it so far. :D

Not particularly helpful logs:

2024-01-30 00:12:33 [INFO    ] Host: compose-rawhide01.iad2.fedoraproject.org
2024-01-30 00:12:33 [INFO    ] User name: root
2024-01-30 00:12:33 [INFO    ] Working directory: /tmp/rawhide.NwDv7o/pungi-fedora

So, I guess we will never know? At least I can't find anything else... ;(

well, this is weird, but now I look at the 0130.n.0 compose again, it does have the mass rebuild packages in it. I could absolutely swear it didn't when I filed this issue, but maybe I'm crazy. oh well.
