Package python-pydocstyle was retired without a dependency check and without the retirement being announced on the devel mailing list.
python-pydocstyle
While upstream has deprecated the package, it currently still builds fine and python-lsp-server, a dependency for spyder, depends on it. Upstream has no intention of replacing pydocstyle in the the near future. Therefore, I would like to take over maintenance of the package in order to be able to keep spyder updated in rawhide and keep it available in future Fedora releases.

I have contacted the current maintainer of python-pydocstyle. Yet, even after it became clear upstream does not intent to drop pydocstyle for spyder, I was unable to convince the current maintainer to unretire the package or hand it over to me for further maintenance.
Unretiring pydocstyle will resolve python-lsp-server being FTI and unblock spyder updates for rawhide.

Since the package has been retired for less than 8 weeks, and looking at it, I retried the python-pydocstyle and given the repository rights to @gui1ty :D
