Cinnamon was retired from EPEL7 due to missing dependencies.[1] I've added the missing deps to EPEL7[2] and would now like to restore the packages.
The previous packages work exactly as before without a need to rebuild. I can rebuild them if that is required.

I plan to keep these alive until the end of EPEL7
Existing cinnamon desktop users on RHEL7 will have upgrade related issues.

@jcpunk Since you dont own it, can you ask any of the cinnamon maintainers to add you as a maintainer, without that, you cannot build the package and it becomes their responsibility to maintain it for epel7, which they want to do.
Once you become a maintainer, please come back and ask for the unretirement. Sorry for the hassle that you have to go through.
@jcpunk Let me know if I missed any.
I recommend using 'fedpkg co -b epel7 name' to avoid the fedora branches :-)
:) they look good to me. Might want to put me on cinnamon-themes too. It didn't get retired, but may need an update down the road.
cinnamon-themes is a sub-package of mint-themes now in newer versions, I have given you admin rights
https://src.fedoraproject.org/rpms/cinnamon-themes
Perfect :)
@mohanboddu I believe I'm setup with the rights you requested earlier.
@jcpunk
FYI dev channel @freenode #fedora-cinnamon
When these are unblocked, if you could retag the old builds[1] (so I don't have to re-bootstrap) that would be awesome.

@jcpunk I will work on them either today or at the max on Monday as today is F27 EOL.
Just checking in.
@mohanboddu He will also require caribou
I have given jcpunk acl's to https://src.fedoraproject.org/rpms/caribou , but am unable to create the epel7 branch.
$ fedpkg request-branch --repo caribou epel7 Could not execute request_branch: This package is already an EL package and is built on all supported arches, therefore, it cannot be in EPEL. If this is a mistake or you have an exception, please contact the Release Engineering team.
caribou has been removed from RHEL-7.6
@jcpunk There were some missing perms on dist-git, once they are fixed I will be able to unretire them, sorry for the delay.
@leigh123linux It seems caribou is still shipping in rhel-7-server-optional-rpms https://infrastructure.fedoraproject.org/repo/json/pkg_el7.json
I've got a compat package for caribou that doesn't impact RHEL7 ready to go.
(I forgot the link https://koji.fedoraproject.org/koji/buildinfo?buildID=1167814 )
@jcpunk The permissions are sorted out on Fri, I can now unretire them. I will get to this some time today and will close this by EOD.
@jcpunk I think I got all the requested packages unretired.
Please let me know if you face any issues.
Thanks for your patience and sorry for the delay.
Metadata Update from @mohanboddu: - Issue close_status updated to: Fixed - Issue status updated to: Closed (was: Open)
Were things re-tagged to epel7-updates-candidate ? Some of the builds seem already deleted...
Hi @mohanboddu , I seem to have an issue pushing to tint2:

@jcpunk Try again on tint2. I had only given ticket rights.
