Becasue of https://fedoraproject.org/wiki/Changes/F31_Mass_Python_2_Package_Removal#Removing_non-installable_packages_from_the_distro

Please don't, it's used by rel-eng for image composes.

The package doesn't install. It's removal doesn't make it any worse. Either fix the package or it should be removed.

Isn't this still used by Red Hat internal release engineering as well?

Might be.

I'll switch the rawhide builds of imagefactory and imagefactory-plugins over to the in-progress Python3 update. This should make them install-able again. I have good reason to believe this should also work for the "full python3 koji" use case. It does still have some bugs in the REST interface code (which is not used by the core rel-eng use case but affects at least one other known user).

Thank you! Let us know once that's done, so I can switch the last bit of Koji to Python 3 for that.

If you could set https://bugzilla.redhat.com/show_bug.cgi?id=1702996 to ASSIGNED, this ticket would no longer stand.
