#8895 Please unretire tolua++
Closed: Fixed by humaton. Opened by jwrdegoede.

  • Describe the issue
    tolua++ was retired as part of the recent semi-automated retiring of packages which FTBFS, but I just found out that we still have several libraries depending on it and then a bunch of packages depending on these libraries.

Therefore I would like to become the owner of the tolua++ package (FAS jwrdegoede) and unretire tolua++, I will take care of the FTBFS issue.

Note the depending packages were not listed in the orphan reports to the devel list, likely due to this dnf bug: https://bugzilla.redhat.com/show_bug.cgi?id=1760772

  • When do you need this? (YYYY/MM/DD)
    ASAP, this means we currently have broken deps in the F31 repo.

  • When is this no longer needed or useful? (YYYY/MM/DD)
    When all the other depending packages are removed.

  • If we cannot complete your request, what is the impact?
    Broken deps in the F31 repo.

Per: https://fedoraproject.org/wiki/Orphaned_package_that_need_new_maintainers#Claiming_Ownership_of_a_Retired_Package

I have send a mail to the devel list about this. Can you please also create a f31 branch for tolua++ when unretiring it?

@jwrdegoede Hi, the package is unretired now. Branch f31 and master are unretired. The f31 branch was already there for feature branch requests please use fedpkg request-branch
