#19 rpmdev-bumpspec should be able to auto-complete name of specfile, if it is the only one in cwd
Closed: Invalid Opened by bkabrda.

When in directory with only one specfile, rpmdev-bumpspec now requires the first letter of the specfile's name to autocomplete it, but it should be able to autocomplete it without it.

This can be achieved by replacing _filedir spec by _filedir '@(spec)' on this line:
https://fedorahosted.org/rpmdevtools/browser/rpmdevtools.bash-completion.in#L94

This way, rpmdev bumpspec would act like, for example, rpmdev-extract, which also completes the file without the first letter, if it the only one in the directory.

Thanks!

It already completes without the first letter for me. What distro/bash/bash-completion version are you using?

Hmm, this is strange. When testing it, everything works ok now, but I had a directory cloned from fedora dist-git, where it didn't work (even after deleting the .git directory, so there were no directories inside the dir that I was testing in). So I don't really know where the problem is - I'll try to dig deeper inside this and let you know if I can reproduce.
Meanwhile, you can probably close this ticket, because it's irrelevant.

Thanks.

If you find a way to reproduce, be sure to do a "set -x" in a shell before invoking the completion, then invoking it and include the resulting output in the report.
